Aa is for Ants

I am taking a class called Creative Learning Environments and one of my assignments was to "describe a manner in which each of the eight learning styles can be promoted to learn about a single simple topic." This is the lesson plan that I turned in.

I really enjoyed developing this plan and am planning to use this format for future lesson plans. This plan was intended to be carried out over the course of a week. The next one will be Bb for Butterflies.

Childcare Photo Journal Tuesday April 6. 2010

Playing outside.

I'm not sure what the discussion was about but it looked pretty serious from where I was. These three boys, ages 11, 12, and 13 are alternately best friends and worst enemies. Today was actually a good day and there were no "enemy moments."

We had a picnic lunch again, but this time on the front porch.

The kids loved that it was warm enough for water play today.

It wouldn't be a normal day without a playing ball at least a little.

Enjoying a mid-morning snack of apple slices and milk.

Amanda brought out her pet rats, Micky and Amber, for some fresh air and a little company.

We had a picnic lunch.

Great practice counting to five. We also reviewed the colors blue, orange, white, black, and brown as we identified the objects in the book.
